Password only entered once or passwords do not match. However, I cant figure out how to input the activation code. There used to be a "key" icon that showed the licensing information and when the software expires but that icon does not seem to exist in Revit What steps have I missed?
I just want to make sure this software is fully activated and it's not just a 30 day trial. Hi JHKdezine - If you open your product are you are not prompted with a countdown until your trial expires, you have successfully activated. Typically you'll only need an activation code if you are re-activating your software let's say after a computer crash, purchasing a new lap top, activating on another machine, etc. I am having the same issues I've seen a number of other users have regarding the activation of Revit LT I purchased it this evening, It ran through installation, and when i start it, it brings up a screen that prompts me to put the serial number in.
The correct number is in the box, but the activation button is ghosted out. I have tried attempting to add myself as a user on the account management site, but it times out, and never completes, and the only option is to sign in as a different user, which takes you back to this same screen. This is beyond frustrating, as this wasn't cheap software, what's the deal? It appears to have been happening for quite a while based on some of the older forum posts.

Education Community Students and Teachers If you obtain student software by using the Install Now download method, your serial number and product key are automatically entered for you during installation. If you still need to find this information, sign in to the Education Community website and follow these steps: Click My Account in the blue box on the right. At the top of the screen, click Account. On the left, click Products. Then click Download Products. Next click License Details to access your serial number.
If your product does not have a serial number, View Details does not display. Your Serial Number is the same for all versions of a standalone or multi-user subscription product. Each product in an industry collection has a different product key. If you bought your product as part of a collection, use the lookup tool to find that specific product. If you bought your product as part of a suite for example, Autodesk Factory Design Suite , the same product key is used to activate all products in the suite.
